So there was no evidence that the solicitor had advised the client to plead guilty but the headline to the article wrongly suggests advice was given.
Even the solicitor's client accepted as much in his evidence yet the SRA went ahead with its prosecution of Mr Mardon. For once the SRA did not manage to slaughter the innocent with a colossal costs order (the rest of the profession will have to pick up the tab) but presumably Mr Mardon is left nursing a hefty defence bill.
Words fail me.
