The Defendant lobby at it again; adding 2 and 2 and coming up with 5.

5 weeks ago it was FOIL concluding that the ban was ineffective and that was down to widespread illegality and breaches of LASPO.

Today their friends at NHSR repeat the same old line that, simply by virtue of the fact that there is a certain geographical distance between a solicitor and his/her client that some form of illegality could be behind the arrangement.

I'd have much more respect for them if they simply told the Government that their legislation was a bit rubbish and not achieving the aims they'd like it to achieve and thus ripe for amendment rather than resorting to Trump-style tactics of repeating a lie until it becomes accepted truth.
