Judicial notice has been taken of the fact that the SRA are idiots, who couldn't run a whelk stall.

I would recommend that the appropriate response to this latest example of their idiocy is to make a mockery out of it by stating in their ridiculous template:

"We anticipate this will take between 1 and 1,000 hours work at £100 - £1,000 per hour. Total costs estimated at £100 - £1,000,000 (+VAT)."

If every firm uses this for every type of work it will show the SRA up for the muppets they are, and make them even more of a laughing stock.
