Well said. Managing a Firm of solicitors is never easy. Most managers have had little or no training for the role. Some lawyers make poor managers but brilliant lawyers! Getting it right can be a painful process but I entirely agree with what you say about having the right people around you. Everyone needs to be pulling in the same direction. We need team players and people who can be relied upon. I have been managing my firm for over 25 years and have discovered that getting rid of negativity and employing a team that want the business to succeed can lead to a modicum of success.
