Before worrying about remedying delays in the conveyancing process the Land Registry would do well to look at its own chronic problem with delays in processing first registration/transfer of part applications. We have to resort to informal phone calls to the Registry to try to get applications taken out of the pile for processing. Even then, it is typically three to six months before the result of the application is received.
