The reason for the vitriol is simply based on experience, I worked for 8 years dealing with just PI claims of all values for one of the worlds largest insurers and as such I think I must have had dealings with virtually all claimant PI firms and in all that time i have never met a firm that cared about anything more than their costs and yet now we get the moral crusade about "access to justice" which isn't actually being denied by the reforms.
I have also had the pleasure of watching many firms start taking defendant work on and as such I have actually probably spoken to more paralegals about their work than you so I'm fully aware of exactly how most of them DONT value their job and how most are not valued by their firm.
Thankfully whilst I do still work in insurance for the same large firm the reforms will have no impact on me at all if anything its creating more work for me.
