Why don't they target banks
As a High Street practitioner I have just come away from a somewhat fraught meeting with the mother of a first time buyer client. Mother is gifting the deposit and had called in by arrangement to provide evidence of source of funds. She was irate stating that her ( High Street) bank hand told her in no uncertain terms that I had absolutely no right to ask to look at her bank statements
