Anon at 12.51. One of my pet estate agents tell me that their aml guidance is simply to check that the purchasers funds are showing in a bank account and that they have been there for at least 3 months. If the money is showing as having been there 3 months and one day it matters not a jot that it shows as a single payment in on that date even if it represents the whole of the purchase price. Foreign element to the monies ? - not a problem.
And then they wonder why 3 weeks later we haven't even started the ball rolling as we are still embroiled in aml checks
