What are we paying a court fee for exactly????

And, does that mean that every family lawyer will need to be provided with a laptop by his/her employer (at the company's expense, of course) that is kept virus free (at the company's expense) and is compliant with GDPR (more expense) so if it is lost the firm isn't fined by the ICO?

If the court is requiring something to be done, shouldn't the court provide the technology to do so? Why should it be up to the individual?

I also agree about the hasty drafting may be repented later comment. The whole purpose of a court deciding an order is surely so that the Judge can be sure it's the right order? Won't it just be rubber stamped by the - I forget what they're called really - stamp-stampers in an effort to rush things through?

Family lawyers already do far more than they engage with the client for. How many of us refuse to take a call from a tearful client who wants reassurance during their negotiations over childcare etc, even if we've only been engaged by them to actually draw up the final agreement and not to advise them on it during the negotiations because they can't afford it? Yes, thought so. None of us. We all go above and beyond.

There is a line though. I've a feeling it's getting ever nearer.
