Although not in this part of the legal profession, I have sympathy with Ms Chakrabarti if one of her concerns, apart from profiteering, is a drop in standards of training.

I have noticed over the years a distinct drop in the standards, since professional training ceased to be confined to the Colleges of Law which operated a gate-keeping policy that kept standards up.
