There are all sorts of things that could be good for potential clients and could make good business sense as far as market differentiation is concerned.
I object to being told what to do by the SRA and I object to The Law Society promoting transparency as a fantastic advancement.
How I run my business should be my choice.
When a potential client contacts my firm and asks for a quote we provide information in a way which we know helps convert the potential client to an actual client. I don't need the SRA's help to run my business and I don't mislead potential clients as to fees or as to service levels. The fact that this is mandatory is the objectionable aspect to it. The fact that it is pointless nonsense is obvious.
