Now don’t be silly. You know perfectly well that argument was made. May I remind you again of George Osborne’s punishment budget. Having a selective memory will not assist you here.

“Also, for what reason do you oppose another vote, save that you fear that you would not like the outcome?”

On that logic, we should have another General Election every time the Opposition demands one: namely, all the time.

We don’t need another vote because we’ve already had one. The result was Leave, and now we’re going to implement it. I’m sorry you can’t deal with the fact you’re not getting your own way, but I’m afraid that’s a trial we all have to deal with at some stage in a functioning democracy.

By all means, vote for a party promising to reverse Brexit at the next general election if you wish to.
