I feel you have clearly demonstrated my point; “How is a claimant solicitor to know that if those holding the records and policing the sector don't share the information they know? ” You do what insurers and the police did – you create something. You work together and combine resources instead of wait for other organisations or bodies to turn up and offer you a solution.

“This was never going to end well for claimant solicitors” If solicitors and firms sit by and do nothing, then yes, I completely agree. And I will feel the same when something similar happens to CMCs.

I wish to make it clear, I think the whiplash reforms are wrong and unreasonably penalise the legitimate claimant. But that was always a potential outcome for indolence.
