To be clear the arbitrators are not in jail; they were sentenced in absentia. I do not suppose they will be travelling to Qatar anytime soon. The fact that they were convicted in absentia is of itself something that brings into sharp relief the complete lack of justice in the Qatar 'legal' system. No doubt the 'judge' or 'judges' who dealt with the case against the arbitrators might have found it difficult to acquit in circumstances where that could result in the judges likewise being imprisoned for "participating in criminal activity to cause harm to a prominent Qatari businessman, Sheikh Khalid Nasser Abdullah Al Misnad."

Sadly none of this will be of any surprise
