It does no-one any good for there to be a 'Heinz 57 Varieties' of parallel legal professionals. If legal executives are as good as solicitors, why don't they just take steps to qualify as such so that CILEx can then be wound up? And if legal executives think that they are better than solicitors, why aren't we seeing solicitors taking steps to qualify as such so that the Law Society and the SRA then can be wound up? Let's have one legal profession with a single entry portal and do away with the exponentially expanding bureaucracy which weighs down all legal professionals!
