@10.38 the reality is, the CILEX Law School exams which all Legal Executives must study for and pass before they qualify are set at honours degree level. The candidates that are successful, which are only a fraction of those that try, are more than capable of studying and passing degree level exams, many already having law or other degrees, and it is certainly not academic or intellectual ability that prevents them from qualifying as Solicitors- it is usually the extortionate cost (and pointlessness) of requalifying as a Solicitor. CILEX is not free so why pay again to be dual qualified unless you need to for your job?
