This isn’t funny. For far too long managers at all levels of HMCTS have treated Solicitors variously as the enemy to be ignored or the self interest group to be ignored.
When will those people at MoJ responsible for our Court system realise that the only way to address the real issues and to find real solutions is to speak to the real experts-Solicitors.
The current Courts Reform Programme addresses problems which aren’t that important at the expense of real and serious problems which are ignored.
I don’t expect the politicians to be keen on this idea as they have no real desire to address any issue as Justice isn’t seen as important whereas responding to concerns about legal aid granted to a defendant who has absconded is an issue worthy of immediate review.
None of the politicians at MoJ are worthy of the office they hold.
Those who actually run our Courts need to get their heads out of the clouds, ignore the legal futurist snake oil salesman and talk to Solicitors.
