I think this is the right result.

Anyone working in a solicitor firm has to achieve the same level of probity, and anyone falling below that is clobbered. This is true with no defence unless some kind of mental issue is at the root of the conduct.

It is dreadfully sad for the trainee, absolutely, as not only the career is gone but it leaves a stain that no amount of time will wipe clean. I feel dreadfully sorry for her.

In defence of the SRA they cannot take into account that to even get a training contract can be an absolute nightmare and that trainees are almost forced to do whatever they can to hang onto it.

And as we know (and I following my own report) you can whistleblow but nothing gets done. But now I know that if something had been done, I may not be posting in these comments.
