I have first hand experience of both the SRA totally failing in their Duties to the Public as they do to the Legal Profession. The Solicitor "allegedly", {{: - )), committed Forgery & Fraud. I reported what had happened . The Documents in terms of proving Criminal/Civil Case are very few compared with most cases. I wrote explanation, to SRA, provided the documents, maybe only 10 in terms of actual proof. They said not enough proof, but it's same Documents I've used to Appeal. Solicitor and his brief have consistantly refused to obtain Copies of 4 (yes only four pieces of paper, easily obtained by Email. Refused to disclose why documents missing or have been obscured (though I am legally entitled to see legible copies stored elsewhere) One of which will shut their Defence down. I was an LiP then, Judge, understandably, I thought at time, suggested I get Solicitor. Sadly no better than the first. I knew it was criminal. Believe he did too. He refused to ask important (and not fishing) questions. He told me he was not "a letter box for me"! Well actually a Solicitor is, but has the knowledge to do it properly. I sacked him. Am now appealing, on my own again. Relevance of my ramble is that SRA were notified before I began Action. They are useless. Are an insult to the many Honest Solicitors. The young woman should have been allowed to stay but under supervision or leave without being struck off. Hopefully the SRA will have to Strike him off. The Senior, who was actually to blame! I certainly wouldn't report a superior to SRA. Everyone makes mistakes but the SRA, is continually making up its own rules to the Detriment of all !! The Legal Profession has a worse reputation than Estate Agents. A lot to do with the ineffective SRA. Keep it Legal !!
