After a 3 year degree, 2 year part time LPC and 18 month training contract I have decided to pursue a career in teaching. During my first year of teaching I will have a take home amount of over double the £13,500 I earn as a trainee solicitor. The amount associated with becoming a solicitor and the amount that the majority is paid is disproportionate. There is so little reward for so many years of study
