I appreciate that particularly horrific crimes were perpetrated in 30s/40s Germany but there are many other places around the world where other horrific crimes have been perpetrated. None in my view justify restricting the freedom to express the daft view that they did not happen. The proper response is to debate and/or ridicule such people. Ditto "no platforming" at universities. I appreciate that holocaust denial often goes hand in hand with some deeply unpleasant views. But there is a big difference between saying "I hate X" and "let's all kill X".
