I wish I shared Dean Jones's optimism. Unfortunately I can't for the simple reason that most clients transact so rarely with solicitors that firstly the return is not likely to be for 7 years (conveyancing) or longer (probate), secondly they will by then have forgotten quite how poor the "nasty legal entities" had been and thirdly will still be choosing advice on financial rather than quality/ reputational criteria. The outlook is gloomy.
