On what basis does Liberty suggest that the decision algorithm is biased? It's an algorithm. It works stuff out based on facts it's given. Kind of like a solicitor who looks at decided cases to help reach an accurate injury valuation. If 100 cases for a particular type of leg burn have settled at 5k, for example, it's not biased to proceed with that figure in your own similar case.

The simple point to make here is that they don't like the answer, no matter how correct it might be, because the answer might be someone who is from an area of poverty, or a particular religious or ethnic background.

I don't think it's unfair to target those who are more likely to commit crimes and stop crimes being committed.
