So is this tax payer funded housing then? If the chance of an orthodox jewish family in the area getting a tax payer funded home is higher than an atheist or Christian family that is a bit unfair. If they have just as little chance eg the usual 20 year wait many have then that's fair enough.

Also if your lifestyle choice means you do not earn much money that is an interesting issue in it eg I keep all my children without recourse to public funds and most people have 1 or 2 children as thaty is all they can afford and most fathers work full time.

There has been a big problem (and litigation) in the US with fundamentalist mormons FLDS doing what they call "bleeding the beast" in taking state benefits in an incorrect manner - a lifestyle choice to have 3 wives and 30 children tends to mean you are more likely to need other tax payers to keep you.
