To anon at 11.50, 7 Feb, the real tragedy is that there are people with their head stuck so far up their partner's arse that they think #MeToo is a justification to rain on those below simply because that is the way that they were treated and so it must be the 'norm'.

Pay Gap reporting allows for context to be explained and, for those that want to be a part of the real world, to outline plans to address any inequalities that do exist. Those posting here may do better to focus on and to challenge that context.

To anon at 9.25, 7 Feb, I am listening. Perhaps there is something in why it is a patriarchy (and more likely to be so) rather than a matriarchy which I suggest may have a more fundamental social basis. But oh woe is me, I am but just one firm, what can I do about it... It's not the brainwashed millennial we need be concerned about, but those so stuck that they cannot even comprehend the need to change their ways, let alone how to do so.

To anon at 16:54, 6 Feb, I wonder how likely it is that your MP is the same gender as your receptionist. I anticipate some just can't wait for the new pay differential reporting obligations so that they can really demonstrate how much more value they place in the executive.
