I feel the pain. In my 7 year old daughter's world, today was an unthemed non-uniform day to raise money for a little boy's medical treatment. It was also the deadline to take in a white t-shirt (spent a long time sourcing a plain one) to be decorated on Red Nose Day in two weeks' time. Next Wednesday - World Book Day - my daughter needs to go to school dressed all in blue; the school aren't telling us why, as it's going to be a lovely surprise. There's also a guitar assembly at 2.45pm that day. On the same day, teenage son is going on a school trip to Harry Potter studios; daughter is going on school trip to a Viking exhibition the next day. This is just one week! I worry that at some point, I will mix up what's happening and send the wrong child to the wrong place in inappropriate attire. In between all this, I am expected to review documents, draft new ones, go to lots of meetings and not forget to look after my "well-being".
Had forgotten it's also pancake day next week on the day my daughter is going to her friend's house for tea. Note: must remind friend's mum that daughter will only accept vinegar as a pancake topping.
