TLS issued this nonsense as a "Professional Update." How about the TLS being professional and doing a balanced and proper job? This propoaganda brings the profession into disrepute and makes it the target of ridicule.

Europol states that it co-operates on an operational basis with Albania, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Denmark, Colombia, Georgia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA and Interpol. It has strategic agreements with Brazil, China, Russia, Turkey, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and World Customs Organization (WCO). Surely they will want an agreement with the UK?

Eurojust has 3 pages on its website listing its cooperation agreements with thrid counties (e.g., Ukrainse, Moldova, Lichenstain, Macedonia). Surely they will agree a cooperation agreement with the UK?

Regarding the European Arrest warrant, Fair Trials International (FTI), the London-based human rights non-governmental organisation, has drawn attention to many abuses, causing serious injustice and jeopardising the right to a fair trial. EAWs have been issued for minor offences such as possession of 0.45 grams of cannabis; theft of two car tyres; driving a car under the influence of alcohol, where the limit was not significantly exceeded (0.81 mg/l) and the theft of a piglet. In the UK, persons arrested under an EAW have been extradited for minor offences such as the stealing of ten chickens (Romania), unintentionally receiving a stolen mobile phone (Poland), and theft of £20 worth of petrol (Czech Republic).

A little more honesty woud be appreciated, as well seeking a mandate from the mebership to put out this propaganda.
