And, apparently, there is no tax relief for the cost of post-cessession (but professionally responsible) file storage. Shouldn’t the Law Society Libby for a minor change in the tax regime?
The client cannot be billed for 6+ years of storage, and with firms undertaking publicly funded/legal aid work with numerous small(ish) files, this may be a huge expense.
