@0902. I understand what you say and how you feel but that wasn't my point. Many 'Jo's' will have grown up with a, perhaps unfortunately outdated, idea of what 'being' a solicitor meant - not seeing the requirements of honesty and integrity as restrictions beyond what their own morality would require. As well as 'fail', you are now as free as any other business to fiddle and confuse etc, to the very edge of dishonesty, when previously, those so tempted might be held back by the draconian penalties the SRA could impose, if I have understood correctly.
