It woudl be much better if the only people who could ;practise law were in solicitors' firms - none of these unregulated limited companies, legal advisers, legal consultants - all very confusing for consumers.

As for whether I as a one person sole practice solicitor's firm shoujdl become a freelancer I am not yet sure. I may be do one litigation case every 2 years so doing or not dling regulated work is not a major issue. I have never had a claim or complaint in 20 years and have spent enough on insurance to buy a small house with the proceeds so a lot of use that has been!
