Surely, if Peter Hain had been a solicitor, any attempt by the SRA/SDT to sanction him would be in contempt of Parliament, as an act intended to curtail the freedom of speech of one of its members acting in his parliamentary capacity. It would be interesting to see the chief executive of the SRA brought before the bar of the House by the Serjeant at Arms!
