What I find difficult parse is that the Post Office takes a view that 1 in 20 of their sub postmasters were either incompetent or dishonest and cannot even conceive that their system might be the problem. The vehemence with which they pursue this is crazy when you're talking about those numbers - it's not just a couple of instances.

It smacks of corporate intransigence and is the same "computer says no" attitude that makes people hate dealing with these types of businesses.
