Anon 16:39. I am Anon 12:28, who believes that this is all a load of nonsense. You have correctly guessed that I am a white male. However, I am not arguing for the status quo. I am arguing for giving jobs / promotions to the best candidates irrespective of race, creed, colour, gender, gender orientation, age etc.

As a senior solicitor, head of department, recruiter of trainees and former senior manager in the chemical industry, heavily involved in recruitment and career development, I have to say that I have promoted far more BAME people that white people.

Clearly, as a somebody who has recruited / promoted more BAME than 'white' people, despite the objective evidence, I don't get it and am in denial, just because I am white

Anon 16:39, please take that chip off your shoulder, stop being judgemental and racist and join the real world of ordinary and sensible people. You will find that most decent people (of all colours) resent being patronised as "not getting it", being in denial or being unintentionally / institutionally racist.
