Well that will stuff landlords and the private rental market for years to come , devalue buy to lets , perhaps make them un mortgageable , increase homelessness, increase rents due to shortage of supply and as an indirect consequence increase the value of commercial properties as investors have to put their money somewhere . This is supposed to be a Conservative Government but it does not behave like one . According to the opinion polls it will soon be replaced by a Communist one .
