I've just read the article about barristers striking over criminal legal aid rates. Could I make a suggestion to the powers that be? Whilst equality and diversity are of course important, they now appear to be being done to death and things are moving in the right direction.

With a significant part of the profession (criminal / legal aid practitioners) now even deeper in crisis and facing extinction, can you please get off your collective backsides and actually do something about that rather than endlessly banging on about equality and diversity. It's all very well being equal and diverse, but entirely pointless if the is no profession in which to be equal or diverse!

Rome is burning, it's time to stop fiddling!!
