I was 12:17 but it appears I was deleted.

You raise a point which is critical and which was totally ignored when fixed cost were slashed by the amount of the guessed at referral fees.

To market to obtain work costs money. A lot of money, especially in this sector. Some CMCs have spent £00,000s a year (and in some cases a month) to maintain market position. It is noticeable that solicitors cannot afford to spend a s much.

Reducing the fixed costs reduced the sums that firms could use to pay overheads, one of which is marketing and, as you suggest, the acquisition cost per RTA claim without going via a CMC would probably be mroe than £400.

As one other has said, ban CMCs and I'd advertising to that ban.
