Success fee used to be 12.5% for RTA. Its now 100% and at £400 per hour. Has every case become considerably riskier now the punter has to pay instead of Johnny Insurance?
Or, 12.5% was win 1 in 9. The loser was covered by the eight winners.
At 100% success fee is every low level RTA now a coin toss?
But the client has agreed the 25% deduction - they signed the CFA

I'll tell you what Jo Blow has. Recourse to have their costs assessed via the Solicitor Act 1970.
Sol v client costs don't have to be proportionate, but they still have to be reasonable.
Is it reasonable for Josie-Jo with 28 minutes post GCSE experience to be charging out at £400 an hour with a 100% success fee?
