"In 2017, a decade-long fight between a woman who was cut out of her mother’s will and three animal charities who were bequeathed the entire £500,000 estate reached the Supreme Court. Justices overturned the Court of Appeal's decision to award the daughter £143,000 and reduced her inheritance to £50,000."

Another issue, of course, but adult offspring should never have been allowed to claim under the IFP Act and it should be amended to exclude them. I understand, although I have not got chapter and verse, that grandchildren can ow claim too, which is even more absurd. People who could not claim in life should not be allowed to interfere with the wishes of the testator after death.
