I have just read ‘Legal sector absent from China trip’. While our senior partner Jeremy Kleinfeld did not actually travel with Boris, Jeremy was on his own networking journey to Beijing and Shanghai and did attend the London Universities International Partnership event in Beijing (at the invitation of the China-Britain Business Council) on 13 October, at which the keynote speech was given by the mayor.

While we agree that government and the mayor’s office should involve the legal sector in future trips, based on Boris’s rapturous reception at the above-mentioned event, a trip led by the mayor might be most effective.
