More than 3,500 lawyers are expected to take part in Breast Cancer Care’s Tour de Law 2015, which got under way today.

Participants in the fourth annual Tour de Law will race against each other over the equivalent distance of London to Paris and back (1,000km) on static Wattbike exercise bikes. The event aims to raise vital funds to help Breast Cancer Care.

For the first time ever the fundraiser is taking place nationally with 23 teams from firms across the UK involved.

This year’s participants include Addleshaw Goddard, Ashurst, Bristows, Co-Operative Legal Services, Devonshires, Eversheds, Farrer & Co, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Herbert Smith Freehills, Latham & Watkins, Memery Crystal, Proskauer Rose, Sidley Austin, Simmons & Simmons, Stevens & Bolton, Wedlake Bell, Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Wiggin, Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Wright Hassall.

An average of more than 200 lawyers from each of the above firms will take part in the static cycle race over the 1,000km in 15-minute relay slots over two days.

Please send us your photos of the event: Obiter doesn't believe that all participants are as young and svelte as those pictured from last year.
