What's the problem? Magic circle rates are hardly an access to justice issue. And why should we publish our rates? They are a matter for negotiation. In high risk cases, or where our advice is needed in a rush, we may charge more. Or we might (and do) provide a lot of advice on agreed (fixed) fees, where any rate quoted would be meaningless. Publishing rates would is counter-intuitive in and era of cutting red tape.
