Help Abbeyfield alleviate loneliness
In 1956, our founder Richard Carr-Gomm recognised the growing need for connection and community among older adults. He envisioned a network of safe and friendly homes where older people could maintain their independence while forming friendships and finding support. He invested his own money in the first Abbeyfield house, and more houses were founded through the generosity of many supporters.
Our vision for a world where everyone thrives in later life within a caring, compassionate community remains at the core of Abbeyfield Living Society today. Our dedicated, caring staff and volunteers support older people in homes across England. Each home builds strong connections within its neighbourhood and contributes actively to the local community.
Gifts in Wills are crucial to support our efforts to strengthen ties with local communities and meet the needs of an ageing population. Your support will help to ensure we can continue to build, innovate and enhance the lives of older people for generations to come.
