Registered Charity No: 1170676 (England & Wales).

Abby’s Heroes supports children, teenagers and young adults from across the South of England when diagnosed with cancer, together with their families. We follow a family’s journey from diagnosis, through their therapy regime, completing their treatment plan, relapse and sadly if their child needs palliative care.

Offering emergency grants for either financial or practical reasons, we are able to give families breathing space to concentrate on their children, when the financial impact of childhood cancer affects a family. We also award grants for day trips and holidays to make cherished family memories in precious moments away from the ward.

  • Giving Welfare Packs when families arrive on the ward
  • Funding Counselling sessions for immediate family to help them deal with the trauma of the diagnosis
  • Supplying an emergency Food Box for all patients
  • Awarding vouchers when the children complete treatment
  • Funding Family Support Workers to assist Parents whilst they are on the ward
  • Play Therapy – helping children explain their fears and anxieties around their cancer diagnosis

“To know there was a charity out there that cared and was able to make things that bit easier for us during such a difficult time was a great relief. Abby’s Heroes gave us the chance to concentrate on our little girl by easing our other worries. An incredible charity xx”
