Registered Charity No: 208530 (England & Wales).

The Anglo-Italian Society for the Protection of Animals is a British-based charity that raises funds worldwide to help animal welfare organisations in Italy. The Society was founded in 1952, following the death of the animal welfare pioneer, Leonard Hawksley. Our aim is to improve conditions for many wild and domestic animals which is so desperately needed.

AISPA has voluntary representatives in Italy, some of whom are veterinary surgeons. Their assistance is vital as we work closely with Italian organisations and authorities to try and bring about lasting improvements in animal welfare. AISPA supports many different projects throughout Italy.

For example we:

•  Provide financial help to animal shelters
•  Fund stray sterilisation programmes
•  Fund medicines and surgical equipment
•  Support education and training programmes
•  Sponsor Veterinary training
•  Donate rescue vehicles

We are only able to do this because of the generous support of those who care about animals and birds. Please consider making a donation or remember us in your will,  to ensure our work continues well into the future.
