Unlocking dyslexic potential
Dyslexia is common, affecting around 1 in 10 people and is a hidden, life-long disability that can have a huge impact on someone’s education, employment and mental health - but it is still too often missed, misunderstood or underestimated. At the British Dyslexia Association, we are working to change this. We build understanding of dyslexia, challenge the barriers that hold dyslexic people back and campaign for systems and services that work better for everyone.
Every dyslexic person should have the opportunity to thrive and fulfil their potential.
Leaving a legacy
Leaving a gift in your will to the British Dyslexia Association, however large or small, is one of the most powerful ways to help us continue this work and create lasting change.
After remembering the people you care about, please consider leaving a gift to the British Dyslexia Association, registered charity number 289243.

The impact of your gift
By leaving a legacy to the British Dyslexia Association, you will help us work towards a future where every dyslexic person receives the support and understanding they need, regardless of their background, income or ability to navigate the system.
Your gift could help us:
- Fund dyslexia assessments and specialist tutoring for people who would otherwise be unable to afford them.
- Train teachers, schools and workplaces to understand dyslexia and remove unnecessary barriers.
- Campaign for lasting change across education, employment and public services.
- Provide trusted information, advice and reassurance to families and adults who do not know where to turn.
Your legacy will help build understanding, challenge barriers and unlock dyslexic potential for generations to come.
