British Skin Foundation (BSF) is the only UK charity dedicated to funding research into every type of skin disease. For 30 years, we’ve turned supporter donations into pioneering British science, helping to deliver breakthroughs, develop more advanced treatments, and offer real hope to millions of skin disease sufferers, and their loved ones.
Why our work matters
Although skin conditions are common, they are complex. From acne to eczema, shingles to skin cancers, skin disease comes in many different forms - some manageable (thanks to research) and others that are life-threatening. For the 60% of Brits who have already experienced skin disease, they’ll know how deeply it can impact our physical and mental wellbeing. We’re here to change that.
Just like our fingerprints, no two experiences with skin disease are ever the same. That’s why we fund research into all areas of skin health - exploring what makes us unique and what unites us - driving British science forward to deliver faster advances for everyone.
