Registered Charity No: 1158422 (England & Wales).

Our vision is to protect threatened species and enable people to help wildlife thrive.

Dartmoor Zoological Society is proud to shout about the charitable work we do. As a unique, wildlife conservation charity based in South Devon, we educate and empower people to be more connected with the natural world and to take greater responsibility for their impact.

Helping people is as important to us as helping wildlife, and without inspired people in the world, how can we truly care for our planet and its special residents?

Our 33-acre site is home to 400 animals, with many species sadly vulnerable or near to extinction. Without our care, protection, and your support, we run the risk of losing these beautiful animals forever.

It costs the charity more than £23,000 every week to feed and provide the highest standard of care to ensure the animals enjoy their greatest quality of life and have the best chance of a future. We’re very thankful that this is possible due to the generous support of the public and dedication of our staff and volunteers.

Leaving a gift in your Will to Dartmoor Zoo will create a lasting legacy of hope for so many animals, relying on us as their best chance of survival in an ever-changing world.
