Registered Charity No: 1150948 (England & Wales).

Lluest itself is the legacy of the remarkable late Ginny Hadjuckiewicz, who established the charity in 1985. Sadly, Ginny lost her own life aged 38, leaving behind Lluest as her Legacy. Since then, we have worked tirelessly to continue the hard work of Ginny, to rescue, rehabilitate and find approved long term Guardian loan homes for 100’s of horses, ponies and donkeys who have been the victims of cruelty, neglect, abandonment, and poor circumstances.

Legacies are vital in ensuring we can continue to give equines in Wales a chance of a safe and loved future, like three-week-old orphan Connie. Connie was found in the nick of time; she was stood desperately hungry and alone next to her deceased mother. Lluest gave her the around the clock care she needed to grow up and flourish into a healthy pony. Thanks to people like you, Connie is now loved and living a safe life in a guardian loan home.

From feral mountain ponies and tiny orphan foals to neglected thoroughbreds and frightened mules, we’ve given them all a second chance to live a life worth living, both at our centre and in loving homes throughout the UK, through our guardianship scheme. Those who cannot be rehomed due to health or behavioural problems lead a safe and happy life with us, and those in homes can always come safely back to us if the circumstances of their guardian home change.
