Registered Charity No: 1143118 (England & Wales).

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving the communities of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire; representing a population in excess of six million. The three aircraft each carries a crew compromising a pilot and two critical care paramedics (CCP) or a CCP and accompanying flight doctor, plus full life-support medical equipment and advanced medicines. The air ambulance helicopters are based at Cosford in Shropshire, Tatenhill Airfield in Staffordshire and Strensham Services in Worcestershire.

The vitally-important pre-hospital emergency service also expands to three critical care cars across the region, which each carry the same lifesaving equipment and medicines as the helicopters.

The charity responds to an average of 4,500 missions each year and being a helicopter-led service. Midlands Air Ambulance Charity does not receive any Government, funding for its daily missions and relies entirely on generous support from the public and businesses to raise the £13-£14 million required to remain operational, each year. Each air ambulance mission costs £2,950 on average and each critical care car mission costs an average of £288.
