ROLDA is a beacon of hope for homeless, abandoned and abused animals
Since we opened our doors 20 years ago, we have been rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need, whilst tackling the root causes of suffering through sterilisation, education and community support programmes.
We never turn our backs on an animal in need. Our three shelters provide safe, loving care for hundreds of dogs, senior cats and other animals. We work to find rescued dogs loving forever homes through adoption programmes. When an animal cannot be rehomed, ROLDA provides forever care. Our shelter becomes their home, and our caretakers become their family. We are also pioneering plans for cage-free shelters, giving rescued dogs the space and freedom they need to heal and rebuild their confidence.
We know that rescue alone cannot solve the stray animal crisis. ROLDA funds thousands of sterilisation procedures, helping prevent unwanted litters, homelessness and suffering before they begin. We also help people in poor communities and seniors care for their beloved pets, so poverty does not force them to abandon their animals.
Our commitment extends wherever animals are in urgent need. ROLDA provides emergency support to animals and rescuers affected by disasters and conflict globally, including in Ukraine. We also strengthen disaster preparedness, helping animals and the people who care for them to be better protected when emergencies strike.
